We are pleased to offer free servicing for the life of our Surgical Instruments.* When you purchase the highest quality products, it is important to keep them in optimal working condition.
This program:
- Protects your investment through regular, free service
- Frees up valuable time to focus on providing positive clinical outcomes for your patients
- Ensures accurate servicing by the same Hu-Friedy artisans that manufactured your instruments

Service & Maintenance Tips:
- We recommend routinely inspecting scissors to determine if sharpening is required. We recommend that Standard Scissors or Super Cut should be sent in for sharpening every three months with average use.
- Lubricate hinged instruments after each use and prior to sterilization, but at a minimum at least once per week.
- Always clean and sterilize hinged instruments in the OPEN position!

- How do I sign up?

Call 1-800-Hu-Friedy (1-800-483-7433) and ask to speak to Customer Care about joining the Hu-Care Program for Surgical Instruments.
- Who can participate?

Dental practices that purchased HuFriedyGroup Surgical instruments with a US shipping address may enroll. *Exclusions may apply. The following customer types are not eligible: schools, hospitals, and/or government.

- Are there any costs associated with the program?

The only associated cost for the clinician is sending the instruments into Hu-Friedy. Hu-Friedy will pay for the instruments to be shipped back to the clinician.
- How long will it take to get my instruments back?

On average, you can expect to have your instruments back in two weeks after arrival at Hu-Friedy.
- Can I send competitor brands in for servicing?

No, the program is limited to Hu-Friedy branded Surgical products only.
- What happens when my Surgical instruments have exceeded their life expectancy and can no longer be serviced?

At your request, Hu-Friedy can return the instrument(s) back to your office or you can choose to participate in

You can start sending in your instruments immediately.

No, there is no limit to the number of Surgical instruments you can send in.
- Are my older instruments eligible for this service component of Hu-Friedy’s Surgical Warranty program?

- What happens if my instruments can’t be serviced?

At your request, Hu-Friedy can recycle the instruments through the ENVIRONDENT™ RECYCLING PROGRAM. as well as inform you of replacement options.
- Can I send non-Hu-Friedy branded product in for servicing?

No, the program is limited to Hu-Friedy branded Surgical products only.
- What is the life expectancy of the instrument?

- Why does this program only apply to Surgical instruments?

Surgical instruments require special equipment that most dental offices do not carry and specific expertise related to the unique instrument designs.
- Why are Scalers, Diagnostic, Restorative and Endo instruments not included in the Service Program?

Due to the ability to maintain and service these instruments easily in the office, their disposable nature and limited life expectancy, these instruments are not covered under the Service Program
- Why is the program limited to certain segments?
